Ben Silton

CEO at TrelliSense

Ben Silton is the CEO and co-founder of TrelliSense, a company developing laser-based methane emissions tracking technology for oil and gas, agriculture, and landfill applications. Before TrelliSense, Ben built his career across startups, consulting, and advisory roles, including a five-year tenure at Divert, a renewable energy and food waste company, where he scaled the analytics and operations team from 7 to roughly 100 people.

In his appearance on The Grove, the podcast by Earth Onward, Ben joined host to discuss his personal journey building TrelliSense from the ground up, alongside practical tactics for early-stage growth in complex, hard-to-enter industries like oil and gas and utilities. The conversation covered how to move through the early stages of company building, from zero to early traction, and what it actually takes to sell into industries with long cycles and high technical scrutiny. Ben also shared how hands-on experiences, including getting forklift certified, have shaped the way he thinks about leadership and operations at TrelliSense today. The episode is titled "Navigating False Summits with Ben Silton, CEO @ TrelliSense."
