Sachin Nair

CEO at Hydron

Sachin Nair is the co-founder and CEO of Hydron, a desalination company based outside of Allentown, PA, working to address global water scarcity through innovative water purification technology. Hydron has earned recognition as a semi-finalist in the Global X Prize for water scarcity, a prestigious competition that highlights the most promising solutions to one of the world's most pressing resource challenges.

Before founding Hydron, Sachin spent years in a stable corporate career before deciding to act on an idea he believed could create meaningful change at scale. That transition from employee to entrepreneur shapes much of how he thinks about building a company and taking a technology from laboratory research to real-world commercial deployment.

On The Grove podcast by Earth Onward, Sachin joined host for a conversation recorded at Hydron's laboratory, where they discussed what the desalination process actually looks like up close, the technical and operational realities of moving an early-stage technology toward broader adoption, and what motivated Sachin to leave behind career security in service of a larger mission. His story reflects a recurring theme on The Grove, the sense of personal responsibility that drives founders to pursue work they believe the world genuinely needs.
